1. fishingboatproceeds: harryandthepotters: As a hardcore Back to the Future nerd, I feel the need to clarify this frustrating meme that’s been circulating today and has everyone declaring today “Future Day.” Sorry internet. It’s not 2015 yet.  In the first movie, Doc cycles through 3 dates while demonstrating the time circuits to Marty: Independence Day, the Birth of Christ and eventually settles on Nov 5, 1955, the day he invented time travel. In the sequel, when Doc and Marty travel to the future, it appears that date is October 21, 2015. Sorry guys, we’ve got another 3 and a half years to go.  I am disappointed in myself for reblogging without factchecking. Another reminder that the Internet is full of fake facts. Something to remember as we read Fahrenheit 451!
